Your Role
We work on behalf of both public and private sector clients, and we are proud of our diverse range of projects providing you with fantastic opportunities to broaden your horizons and develop your skillset across planning. We provide advice across the entire spectrum of development schemes, from initial feasibility studies, site visits, through to the submission of large-scale planning applications and appeals. We have strong local and national networks and a collaborative team culture. This will see you working closely withcolleagues across our northern team, with opportunities to work with any office across the country.This, combined with the quality of service we provide to our clients, is what makes us consistently one of the top planning consultancies in the UK.
Working across the teams diverse project base, you will be responsible for preparing site appraisals, development plan representations, submitting planning (and other) applications and appeals and advising clients generally. As a commercially minded individual you will be supported in developing your own client base and taking the lead on projects with budgetary accountability.
Tetra Tech is a multidisciplinary organisation, and you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with multi-skilled teams on larger proposals.

Requirements:
We are looking for a RTPI accredited Town Planner with proven experience in a similar role or looking to step up. You may be presently working in a local authority, consultancy or for a developer or housebuilder. You will be capable of managing a varied workload and be confident taking on the responsibility for the day-to-day management of concurrently running projects. To be successful in the role you will have the following key skills and experience:
ability to deliver reliable technical input in a timely and efficient way;
a team player with good people skills, who will thrive dealing directly with our clients;
be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, energy and the ability to work under your own initiative to meet our clients expectations and help expand our business;
have excellent communication skills, allowing you to work effectively with multi-skilled teams internally and externally; and
above all, you will have a can-do and positive approach to your career.
